Objective
Familiarising researchers with the concept of VREs
During a series of presentations, research teams may be given an impression of the various functionalities and of the potential benefits.
A seminar may be organised for a specific research community, or it may be organised for a more general audience.
The seminar may focus on the following questions:
- What is a VRE?
- Which functionalities can be offered through a VRE?
- What are the advantages of using a VRE?
- What is the role of the university library ?
Agenda
A seminar of this kind may take approximately one hour. The agenda could be structured as follows:
- Welcome and purpose of the meeting (5 minutes)
- Short round of introductions (5 minutes)
- Presentation: What is a VRE? Demonstration of functionalities (15 minutes)
- Role of the library and forms of support (10 minutes)
- Questions and discussion (15 minutes)

If more time is available, participant may also be invited to comment on the functionalities in a more elaborate way and to prioritise them, using the MoSCoW method.
