SURF - Wiki

Wiki working group

Problem definition

Within the SURFshare program, many existing standards are reused or new standards are developed. To prevent standards from being overseen, resulting in new standards being developed to problems that already have a solution, the standards used and developed by the SURFshare program are aggregated and maintained within the SURFShare Standards wiki. This wiki not only service as a platform with information, but also as a platform to discuss and maintain the standards.

Scope

The scope includes the entire SURFshare program in which aspects of the Academic Information Domain are addressed.

Role

The role of the working group is in the first place setting up the platform and maintaining it. The working group maintains the back-end of the wiki, ensuring the software remains up to date and back-ups are created of the database. On the front-end, the working group maintains the wiki to keep it clean and clear; preventing spam and cleaning up inconsistencies in the lay-out and ordering of pages.
