For the Kortlopende Verrijke Publicatie Projecten, a generic application profile of OAI-ORE has been defined.
This application profile consists of two parts:

2. Transport mechanism |

 | All up-coming Enhanced Publication projects MUST conform to this generic application profile of OAI-ORE. |
The rationale behind this is that in one of the goals of the SURFshare program is that research can be discovered in greater context, linking all research output from all the seperate enhanced publications. Concrete: the Enhanced Publications will be collected and presented in context in NARCIS, the portal for scientific research in the Netherlands, by the end of 2011.
